Decathlon takes the lead in experiencing RFID intelligent inventory robot

Last year, Decathlon held a press conference and officially launched the world's first inventory robot called Dibao. Its appearance looks no different from an ordinary robot, but its functions are actually very powerful.

As the world's first Decathlon robot baby, the full name of "Dibao" is "RFID Intelligent Inventory Robot". This is a new retail inventory robot that can be used for automatic inventory of all categories of Decathlon products to solve the problem of excessive labor costs and inventory counting. Problems such as low accuracy and single data usage scenarios.

At present, in the traditional Retail Industry, there is a large amount of inventory that needs to be counted, which requires a lot of manpower and energy, and there may also be a certain error rate. However, this Dibao robot can communicate with customers in the supermarket. During the process, goods are inventoried in real time, and the accuracy can be as high as 99.2% or more. This is undoubtedly good news for practitioners, who can free up their labor force and devote themselves to more creative work.

Decathlon, founded in Lille, France in 1976, is the world's largest comprehensive sporting goods retail group. China is gradually becoming the base for Decathlon's global transformation and new retail development and innovation, and the Chinese market is increasingly assuming the role of its group's global technology incubation. Decathlon did not participate in the first CIIE last year, but after visiting the CIIE, relevant staff immediately cooperated with a robot R&D and manufacturing company at the CIIE. Six months later, Decathlon’s world’s first robot employee “Dibao” " was born and tested at the Decathlon Asia experience Store in Waigaoqiao, Shanghai. Now, it has become a highlight of Decathlon’s participation in the second CIIE.

"Dibao" will be used in physical shopping mall scenarios, equipped with RFID technology and artificial intelligence, to realize automatic inventory of all categories of products. "Dibao" has functions such as unmanned and light-free fully automated inventory, autonomous navigation and map scanning, and real-time updating of electronic maps. It also supports interactive service functions such as customer Library-self-service-borrowing-and-returning-machine-source-manufacturer-UHF-touch-screen-borrowing-and-returning-machine.html target='_blank'>self-service navigation, service instructions, and self-service unmanned checkout.

For a long time, the development and promotion of automatic inventory technology in physical retail has been plagued by problems such as the large variety of product types and frequent shelf adjustments in physical shopping malls. The birth of "Dibao" has overcome the above problems. In addition, "Dibao" has also achieved four "China's firsts": it is China's first RFID inventory robot in the retail industry, China's first commercial RFID technology unmanned and light-free fully automated digital inventory test case, China's first in the retail industry At the same time, autonomous navigation and map scanning update technology are applied. For the first time in the retail industry, China adopts integrated depth vision sensor and dual laser 360-degree laser navigation obstacle avoidance technology.

Decathlon announced at the press conference that by the end of this year, 21 physical shopping malls in Shanghai will use RFID inventory robots, and will be promoted to Decathlon physical shopping malls nationwide in 2020.
