Application of RFID in Anti-counterfeiting and Tracking of Wine Industry in my country

But at present, the anti-counterfeiting of wine products is in a relatively embarrassing situation. On the one hand, companies have invested a lot of money in the research of anti-counterfeiting technology, and on the other hand, these technologies are always quickly copied by counterfeiters. Wine companies hate the phenomenon of being imitated, but they seem to be somewhat helpless. my country's wine industry urgently needs a high-tech, difficult to copy, and truly effective anti-counterfeiting technology.


Advantages of RFID in wine anti-counterfeiting management


At present, most domestic wine companies use anti-counterfeiting methods with three common drawbacks:


· First, most anti-counterfeiting labels have low technical content and are easy to copy;


· Second, the judgment process of anti-counterfeiting labels is complicated and consumers are not easy to accept;


· Third, the overall management loopholes prevent these anti-counterfeiting methods from working smoothly.


In contrast, RFID anti-counterfeiting labels have advantages that are more suitable for industry needs:


· Corresponding to a single product, RFID tags have a unique ID code, which cannot be imitated;


· RFID tags are not paper products, not easy to wear, and there is no pollution or tearing. In addition, they are waterproof and anti-magnetic;


· RFID tags are available in read-only and read-write types, with large storage capacity;


· The physical interface of the electronic tag reader is not directly open to the final consumer of the product, which can effectively ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the tag;


· RFID tags can read and write a large number of target products at a time, with high efficiency and fully automatic data processing.


In my country's liquor industry, Wuliangye, Moutai and other domestic high-end brands have always been the focus of counterfeiters. Therefore, these companies have a strong brand awareness and invest far more human and financial resources than their peers in brand protection research. In early 2009, Wuliangye Group launched the RFID technology anti-counterfeiting project, which was successfully completed and put into use in November of the same year. The entire project invested RMB 200 million to build a complete RFID overall solution platform. In the early stage of the project, Wuliangye Group used more than 20 million RFID anti-counterfeiting labels per year to initially realize the anti-counterfeiting application of high-end brand RFID technology. At the same time, the multi-functional RFID query identifier, specialty Store RFID query equipment and handheld query equipment launched simultaneously were more than 800 sets and 2,000 sets respectively. The huge capital investment indicates that Wuliangye Group has high confidence in the anti-counterfeiting management of RFID tags to meet the needs of Wuliangye's high-end products.


Some domestic wine manufacturers are ahead of the industry in the anti-counterfeiting management of electronic tags. For example, in April 2009, Changyu Winery became the first domestic wine company to apply RFID technology on a large scale in production to prevent counterfeiting and fake products. But generally speaking, the anti-counterfeiting management of domestic wine companies is still relatively weak. Some high-end wine brands have the need and ability to adopt advanced foreign RFID technology to conduct anti-counterfeiting tracking management of products. In future development, they can learn from the successful practices of the foreign wine industry and apply them in combination with the actual situation in China.
