Valuable assets are based on Bluetooth gateway plus Bluetooth beacon application

Asset MANAGEMENT is an important part of enterprise management. Manual inventory or management of barcodes, QR codes, electronic labels, etc. is only suitable for a small number of assets. For assets with large quantities, multiple types, high value, long use cycles, and scattered use locations, it is difficult to manage. You can choose the Bluetooth gateway + Bluetooth beacon warehousing solution to create intelligent IoT management.


Lay out the Bluetooth gateway in the application space, and attach a Bluetooth beacon to each asset. The movement information of the asset is broadcast to the nearby Bluetooth gateway through the attached Bluetooth beacon. The Bluetooth gateway uploads it to the cloud server and warehousing through WiFi/4G/Ethernet. The background software connects to the server to check the asset status, and the information of assets entering, leaving, transferring, moving, and losing is clear at a glance.


There are two Bluetooth positioning solutions for asset positioning management. The appropriate Bluetooth positioning solution can be selected according to different asset positioning occasions. as follows,

Bluetooth asset location management system architecture


The following figure shows the architecture of the Bluetooth asset positioning management system.

Wireless network management: Monitors the status of the Bluetooth gateway, receives data from the Bluetooth gateway, and after data analysis, the positioning server calculates the location of the Bluetooth asset tag.


Positioning server: Provides indoor positioning function, calculates the position of Bluetooth positioning tags, and saves the tag position;


Asset management system: real-time inventory of assets.


Construction of asset management Bluetooth positioning system


The asset management Bluetooth positioning system is shown in the figure below



plan description:


(1) ibeacon Bluetooth beacon: The asset positioning beacon sends broadcast packets at intervals.


(2) Bluetooth gateway: Scan and collect the broadcast packets of surrounding Bluetooth beacons, and transmit the MAC address, RSSI value, time, power and other information to the background server through 4G/5G/WiFi/Ethernet and other methods.


(3) The background server calculates the location of the Bluetooth beacon based on the RSSI value and the map.


According to the requirements of asset positioning, we calculate the existence (asset inventory) and approximate location of the asset beacon. Since we have marked the position of the reference beacon on the map in the background, we can calculate the position of the asset beacon based on comparing the obtained RSSI value of the asset beacon with the RSSI value of the reference beacon. And send the information to the customer's management system through the API interface.


(4) You can obtain the positions of reference beacons and asset beacons from the server through any mobile phone or display terminal, inventory fixed assets, and monitor the situation of fixed assets in real time.


 


Application function


The Bluetooth positioning asset management solution can accurately determine the specific location of valuable assets and assist in the refined management of corporate assets.


(1) Item information management: View the location distribution and real-time location of asset equipment;


(2) Asset location tracking: The historical movement trajectory of asset equipment can be accurately recorded on the map, and asset trends can be grasped anytime and anywhere;


(3) Electronic fence monitoring: If important asset equipment exceeds the monitoring range defined by the electronic fence, an alarm will be triggered to strengthen the positioning monitoring of special items.

Indoor asset positioning solution 2: Bluetooth beacon + mobile APP + cloud server + display terminal


plan description:


(1) Bluetooth beacon: sends its own broadcast packets at intervals.


(2) The mobile APP scans the broadcast packets of surrounding Bluetooth beacons (ibeacons) and transmits MAC address, RSSI value, time, power and other information to the background server.


(3) The background server calculates the location of the Bluetooth beacon (ibeacon) based on the RSSI value and the map.
