RFID turnover box helps build a shared information platform

Turnover boxes play a very important role in logistics operations. Active turnover boxes are handed over to multiple parties, Stored at multiple points, and reused. As you can imagine, the management of turnover boxes is relatively difficult. RFID technology enables logistics turnover boxes to reduce losses, unify processes, speed up turnover and improve overall efficiency. The turnover boxes are combined with RFID electronic tags. Each turnover box is bound to the RFID electronic tag identity information number, the box number is associated with the RFID electronic tag, and the turnover box related information is written into the database. During the handover process of the turnover box, the box number is obtained through the RFID electronic label of the logistics turnover box recognized by the RFID Reader to realize the standardized management of the turnover box. The RFID turnover box assists in the establishment of a shared information platform.

The RFID electronic tag is installed on the turnover box. Its function is to store the identification information of the turnover box, the information of the goods loaded in the turnover box, the waybill information, etc. The RFID reader is used to read and write the electronic tag on the turnover box, and through the Internet of Things Only by building an information platform (warehousing management system, etc.) through a transmission and application network can we better manage the circulation of turnover boxes.

Information platform implementation goals:

With the turnover box as the basic unit of logistics, the company places an order to purchase the turnover box, and then puts the parts into the turnover box and sends it to the designated warehouse of A. After A returns the turnover box, it can be reused and the data is collected by reading the RFID tag. Collect and use computer management to achieve information sharing, thereby avoiding the loss of turnover boxes, improving turnover efficiency, reducing labor links, saving time, and conducting statistics, analysis and processing of data to provide various data required for management and provide decision-makers with reliable data.

The information platform is designed based on RFID:

Using a combination of turnover boxes and RFID tags, each turnover box is numbered, the box number is associated with the label, and the relationship between the turnover boxes is written into the database. During the handover process of turnover boxes, the box number is obtained through the tag recognized by the reader to achieve standardized management of turnover boxes, thus improving the accuracy of production data. In response to the above needs, considering that the recycling of turnover boxes will cause data confusion, information verification in each link is added to the system to ensure the uniqueness of the information in each link of the turnover box. The information platform performs legality verification on the turnover boxes entering the next link, associates the information of the previous link, ensures the traceability of the information, and prevents the flow of turnover boxes across nodes in the cycle.

The RFID-based turnover box logistics system has not been widely used yet, but some companies have adopted some RFID-based turnover boxes and put them into actual operations, which have significantly improved loss control, turnover efficiency, and process management. The recycling process of turnover boxes involves multiple cooperative enterprises. The RFID turnover box is just a typical microcosm of the RFID logistics box in the single product link. As the cost of electronic tags is no longer as unattainable as it was when it was first produced, the possibility of its wide application in the Logistics industry is accelerating. Internationally, Wal-Mart has been committed to promoting RFID application standards globally (just as its implementation of barcode technology caused a revolution in information technology applications), with the purpose of tracking from single product production to pallet transportation through a single logistics unit. This enables full tracking and traceability management of the supply chain.

RFID has the characteristics of long-distance identification, rapid identification response, large amount of information storage, and strong ability to adapt to the environment, making it a powerful Tool to replace QR codes for warehousing, transportation and Logistics Management. RFID technology has entered the logistics field and gradually replaced commodity barcodes. The combination with logistics boxes will play a positive role in promoting digital logistics, truly realizing real-time and transparent management of cargo information, improving the efficiency of the logistics industry, and thereby reducing logistics costs.

RFID can make the daily management of logistics dynamic, real-time, and transparent. In order to meet the practical needs of the rapid development of the entire business chain, all parties in the turnover box logistics chain hope to use information tools to quickly detect the loss of turnover boxes. Turnover, automatic inspection of incoming and outgoing quantities for comprehensive and unified management of statistical turnover rates and other businesses.
