In order to improve the efficiency and quality of the tableware cleaning system, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University cooperated with the catering company to develop a logistics monitoring system that uses wireless radio frequency identification technology (RFID). In addition to RFID technology, the system also applies Internet of Things technology, cloud computing and other technologies.

Each cutlery logistics box is affixed with a heat-resistant and waterproof radio frequency identification tag. When the cutlery box passes the checkpoint, the RFID Reader will read the data and transmit it to the system. From the collection, transportation, cleaning to storage of the cutlery box, users can grasp the progress in real time, and the system can also identify the cutlery box through radio waves.

RFID technology has become increasingly mature after years of development, but to be applied in different industries, it needs to be specially designed to meet the needs of users. This set of cutlery cleaning system that uses RFID technology for logistics monitoring needs to take into account the operating environment of the partner company, the details of the matching workflow, the selection of RFID tags, the type and number of readers, the location and angle adjustment of antenna installation, software matching, etc., all need to be considered together.

RFID technology quickly realizes the control of the entire process of turnover box allocation, forward reception, turnover box out of the warehouse and reverse recycling. RFID is to automatically collect RFID electronic tags on the turnover box to automatically count the in and out operations, etc., which is not only very fast, but also effectively improves the control efficiency, thereby saving a lot of labor costs. RFID technology is bringing a huge change to the supply chain field, simplifying complex workflows and effectively improving the efficiency and transparency of the supply chain.
