· Radio frequency: generally refers to microwave.

· Microwave: electromagnetic waves with a wavelength of 0.1-100 cm or a frequency of 1-100GHZ.

·Electronic label: A label that Stores the code of an object in the form of electronic data, also called a radio frequency card.

·Passive electronic tags: Electronic tags that have no internal power supply and work by receiving microwave energy.

·Active electronic tags: Electronic tags that work with internal battery power.

·Microwave antenna: used to transmit and receive microwave signals.

·Reading device: used to read the electronic data in the electronic tag.

·Reader: Used to read the electronic data in the electronic tag.

·Programmer: It is used to write electronic data into the electronic tag or check the data stored in the electronic tag.

·Beam range: Refers to the radiation power range of the microwave emitted by the antenna.

·Label capacity: The number of bytes or logical bits that can be written in the electronic label programming.

Amplitude:The distance between the highest point of a radio wave and the zero value.

Read-only storage (Read-only memory, ROM):A form of storing information on a chip that cannot be overwritten. Read-only chips are much cheaper than read-write chips.

Automatic data capture (ADC):A method for collecting data and importing it directly (without human involvement) into a computer system (see Automatic Identification and Data collection).

Smart Card

Generic term for a plastic card (usually the size of a credit card) with an embedded microchip. Some smart cards contain an RFID chip, so they can identify the cardholder without any physical contact with the reader. RFID smart cards are often referred to as "remotely controlled" smart cards.

a-Biz—Application Case Framework for Automatic Identification Technology

a-Biz is an automatic identification project, and its ultimate goal is to combine automatic identification technology with real-world application cases to achieve "business automation", or a-Biz.

ASN - Advanced Shipping Notification

Also known as DA, this electronic document is sent before the goods to notify the other party that the goods are in transit.

BIS - Business Information System

A business information system, or BIS, is a system used to process business transaction information.

This electronic document is sent before the shipment to notify the other party that the shipment is in transit.

EAN - European Article Numbering Group

The organization was created in 1974 as an ad-hoc committee of manufacturers and distributors from 12 European countries. Its mission was to investigate the possibility of developing a unified, standardized coding system in Europe, similar to the UPC system used in the United States. Eventually a UPC-compatible "European Article Number" was created. More information can be found at http://www.ean-int.org.

EPCTM—Product Electronic Code

Electronic product code, or EPC, is a code used to uniquely identify objects in an automatic identification system. Its purpose is similar to GTIN and UPC etc.

ONS—Object Name Resolution Service

The Object Name Resolution Service, or ONS, is a component of the automatic identification system. Similar to DNS, the domain name resolution service in the Internet, the ONS also performs name resolution functions like DNS.

PML - Entity Markup Language

Automatic identification devices communicate entity information using entity markup language.

SavantTM

SavantTM is part of the automatic identification technology framework. It is a globally distributed server that provides data routing services for data capture, data monitoring, and data transfer.

UCC - Uniform Coding Council

The mission of the Uniform Coding Committee is to establish and promote diverse industry standards for item identification and related electronic communication technologies on a global scale. Improve the management level in the supply chain and bring added value to users. Visit http://www.uc-council.org for more information.
