RFID intelligent inspection solution improves railway track inspection efficiency

1. Current situation analysis

With the rapid development of national railway construction, the inspection of railway track lines has become more and more important. The hidden dangers of public security accidents in railway transportation are increasing, and a large part of the problems are caused by the inadequate inspection of basic road conditions such as railway roadbed, tracks, turnouts, signal lights, and railway bridges. The traditional inspection method relies on manual labor, and inspectors conduct regular inspections. However, due to human factors such as dereliction of duty, mental paralysis, and fluke mentality, the problem of inadequate inspection is common, and the accident rate accounts for more than 80%. In order to solve these problems, a set of intelligent railway track line inspection system solutions based on RFID technology is proposed for the situation of personnel cheating and missed inspections during railway inspections.

2. Overview of the solution

The application of this solution is mainly for the formulation and issuance of inspection plans, scanning of inspection equipment, data entry, and generation of statistical analysis reports. The key technologies of the solution include passive contactless RFID electronic tags, RFID handheld terminals (PDA+RFID) and system management software. The inspection personnel scan the RFID electronic tags on the inspection equipment through the RFID handheld terminal, complete the operation according to the work content prompts of the RFID handheld terminal, and enter and save the inspection status data, which is uploaded to the system background in real time. The system then generates various statistical analysis reports, such as inspection completion reports, inspection missed inspection reports and equipment operation reports.

III. Solution process

1. Install RFID electronic tags: Install RFID electronic tags on the equipment that needs inspection management. Each RFID electronic tag has a built-in unique code, which can accurately identify each device and establish a one-to-one association with the railway equipment in the system management software to establish the basic attributes of the equipment.

2. Fixed-point inspection: The inspectors carry RFID handheld terminals for scheduled inspections. They scan the RFID electronic tags on the equipment through the RFID handheld terminals, automatically record the code of the RFID electronic tags, the accurate date and time of reading, and the geographical location of the personnel, and complete the operation according to the work content prompts of the RFID handheld terminals. The inspectors enter the operating status and parameters of the equipment into the data collector through the keyboard according to the prompts of the data collector. They can also record equipment problems by shooting videos, taking photos, and recording voice. The inspection data is uploaded to the management center background through 4G network and Wi-Fi to generate various statistical analysis reports.

3. Data management and analysis: The manager can query the historical data such as the operating status and operating parameters of the equipment in real time through the background, and analyze the equipment defects. These data and analysis results can provide decision-making basis for future equipment inspections and selections.

IV. Solution effect

1. Standardized management: The RFID handheld terminals are used to record and monitor the position dynamics and driving trajectory of the inspectors in real time, effectively avoiding the situation of inspectors being lazy and cheating, and improving the safety of railway transportation.

2. Scientific assessment: Data is collected and uploaded to the background through RFID handheld terminals to count the number of inspectors, the number of missed inspections, the missed inspection rate and other information, providing data support for the performance assessment of inspectors.

3. Decision support: Managers can query the operating status, operating parameters and other historical data of the equipment in real time through the background, and analyze the equipment defects to provide decision-making basis for future equipment inspection and selection.

The railway track inspection system solution uses RFID technology, GPS positioning technology and mobile network communication technology to effectively improve the accuracy and efficiency of mobile operations of inspectors while ensuring the safety of railway transportation, and greatly improve the level of railway information management.
