With the rapid development of warehouse automation and the advancement of intelligent production and information construction, the types of materials managed in warehouses have become diversified. Traditional barcode labels and manual warehouse management documents can no longer meet the needs of modern warehouse management. RFID technology is widely used in warehouse management with its advantages of long identification distance, fast, not easy to damage, and large capacity, making all aspects of warehouse management transparent and more efficient. In warehouse logistics pallet management, RFID technology plays a vital role.
Through RFID technology, many management tasks can be wireless. More and more logistics companies are implementing the coding to bar project. In order to improve operational efficiency and try not to change the existing logistics and warehousing model, pallets have become an ideal carrier. The use of pallet identification can effectively improve the efficiency of warehouse management. Pallet identification mainly includes the following two points:
1. Use wireless radio frequency technology (RFID) to establish a piece-to-piece association for each piece of arrival, and ensure the real-time and consistency of the piece-to-piece association with the actual object. Scan the entire pallet for the arrival of the entire pallet to improve the efficiency of the warehouse scanning.
2. Establish pallet finished product logistics tracking based on piece-to-piece association to improve operational efficiency, closely combine with the three-scan work of coding to striping projects, and improve the efficiency of sorting, receiving and outbound delivery of commercial enterprises (scanning by pallet).
RFID technology can realize the automated data collection of warehouse arrival inspection, warehousing, outbound delivery, transfer, warehouse transfer, inventory counting and other operation links, ensuring the speed and accuracy of data input in each link of warehouse management, ensuring that enterprises can grasp the real data of inventory in a timely and accurate manner, and reasonably maintain and control the inventory of enterprises.
Pallets are the most basic and core cargo units in the entire logistics supply chain in logistics warehousing and distribution. Pallets have been widely used in various links such as production, warehousing and distribution, logistics, and retail. The use of RFID technology combined with the advantages of the supply chain link makes the entire Logistics industry more convenient and faster. The pallet management system based on RFID technology can simplify the workflow in the logistics supply chain and effectively improve the efficiency and transparency of the supply chain.
(1) Finished goods box storage
When an empty pallet with an RFID tag enters the pallet entrance, the RFID Reader will perform a read and write test on the RFID tag to ensure that the RFID tag that meets the performance standards can enter the circulation link. The barcode scanning system will scan and stack the barcodes on the finished goods boxes that have passed the inspection. The RFID reader will write the compressed barcode information of the entire pallet box into the RFID tag to achieve the association between the goods barcode and the RFID tag, and transmit the information to the central management system.
(2) Pallet box changes or scattered box assembly in the warehousing link
Use an RFID handheld terminal to re-associate the adjusted box data with the tag, write the new information to the tag, and update the central database synchronously.
(3) Pallet out of the warehouse
Through the fixed RFID reader and the buried RFID Antenna, the RFID tag information is collected and uploaded to the central management system. After the system verification, the data is decompressed to form the box barcode information, which is connected to the one-click and two-scan commercial arrival scanning system.
(4) Receiving at the distribution center
The pallet stays in the reading area for 2-3 seconds to complete the scanning of the cargo boxes on the entire pallet, without the need to unpalletize a single piece, scan the code and then repalletize.
In logistics warehousing and distribution, the pallet is one of the most basic and core cargo units in the entire logistics supply chain. The inherent advantages of RFID technology combined with the supply chain link make the entire logistics industry more convenient and faster. It meets the needs of fast and accurate warehouse management, allowing the company's management efficiency to continue to improve. The application of pallet RFID electronic tags makes warehouse management more and more convenient.
