Application of radio frequency identification technology RFID in the warehousing field

The technological advancement of radio frequency products has unparalleled advantages in the field of warehousing, so radio frequency identification technology RFID (full English name RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION) has been rapidly popularized and promoted in the fields of trade and material circulation, production enterprises and other fields.

Radio frequency identification technology uses radio and communication technology to read and write recording media under the influence of electromagnetic fields. The identification distance can reach 1.2 meters, and it has a much larger data storage capacity than barcodes, up to 16Kbit. At the same time, with extremely high confidentiality. When in use, it will not be affected by pollution, moisture, light concealment, orientation and orientation, and has strong adaptability. Radio frequency identification technology has been widely used abroad, especially in situations where data content needs to change frequently and where tracking information is used more widely, such as large commercial distribution centers, warehousing management, highway toll systems, electronic public transportation tickets, etc., and has gained a lot of popularity. Good economic benefits.

The radio frequency identification system mainly consists of two parts: electronic tags and readers, as shown below:

1. Electronic label:

Fixed on the object to be identified, it is divided into automatic electronic tags and passive electronic tags. The automatic type has its own power supply, high operating reliability, and long signal transmission distance. The passive electronic tag itself has no power supply and is in a passive range outside the working area. The electronic tag is active only when it enters the working area, and its response distance is significantly lower than that of the active electronic tag. Passive electronic tags are generally made into cards, while active electronic tags are mostly made into discs and strips. Use read-write electronic tags. In addition to the characteristics of read-only electronic tags, a piece of erasable read-only memory (EEPROM) is installed inside. If the conditions are available and permitted, the information of the electronic tag can be modified. and supplement, and the electronic tag itself has the function of "mobile database".

2. Reader:

It consists of two parts, namely the control part and the launching and receiving part. The structure is as follows:

Computer control system control unit antenna transmitting and receiving port antenna

The effect of the transmitting and receiving part is:

(1) Provide energy to the electronic tag to start the electronic tag operation.

(2) Modulate the information signal to be transmitted in order to transmit the data to the electronic tag.

(3) Receive the signal reflected from the electronic tag, demodulate it and transmit it to the controller. The transmission and reception of signals are carried out through the antenna, so there are strict requirements on the shape and placement of the antenna.

The effect of the control part is:

(1) Coordinate the operation of the entire system by transmitting and receiving signals.

(2) Perform error checking on the received data. Multiple types of verification methods can be used (such as parity check, cyclic redundancy check, etc.).

(3) Establish control and data channels with the computer control system.
