IFAST RFID PET tickets allow passengers to use only one ticket to ride five trains, and each ride data is recorded through a unique serial number.
IFAST has provided more than five million tickets to Belbim A.S.
More than five million contactless smart tickets are used on Istanbul’s public transportation system including car, rail and water transport.
Istanbul's public transportation system includes bus, rail and water transport operated by the municipality, state government and private companies. Millions of passengers use public transportation every day. Istanbul government officials are also committed to investing more in public transportation services to modernize them, thereby encouraging more passengers to use them and thereby reducing traffic congestion. The city plans to massively expand rail transport routes and upgrade its electronic ticketing system to improve efficiency.
IFAST's "five-in-one" single smart ticket will replace traditional paper tickets, thus upgrading the current electronic ticket system.
In 1995, Belbim A.S. adopted the AKBIL electronic ticketing solution to streamline the integration of ticketing systems covering seventeen modes of transportation and eleven operators. The AKBIL electronic ticket is a contact memory button mounted on a plastic keychain. Frequent travelers on the transportation system can easily purchase and add value as needed.
The new "five-in-one" RFID tickets will replace the one-way tickets purchased by passengers in the past. IFAST PET tickets allow passengers to use only one ticket to ride five trains, and each ride data is recorded through a unique serial number. Each ticket can be read in 0.3 seconds, providing convenience to passengers while greatly improving the efficiency of the transportation system.
IFAST PET tickets provide a durable and waterproof solution for public transportation systems, and their service life is longer than ordinary paper tickets, in some cases up to a month. IFASTPET tickets can be customized printed and encoded according to customer requirements.
In May 2008, new wireless card readers were installed on public buses in Istanbul, which can read "five-in-one" tickets and the original Istanbulkart tickets that were based on AKBIL equipment and new smart cards simultaneously. The new RFID tickets will also replace traditional tokens when new reader systems are installed at all terminals and train station turnstiles.
Our contactless PET tickets are designed to provide high-volume, customizable solutions for mass transit applications. Istanbul’s five-in-one ticketing system is a perfect example of how contactless ticketing technology can improve passenger service and increase ticketing efficiency.
