RFID technology makes unattended weighing management intelligent

RFID technology is widely used, and the unattended weighing industry has also been well interpreted. The intelligent weighing management system has become an important technology for various weighing industries such as coal mines, garbage dumps, petroleum industry, and non-ferrous metal mines to realize information management. RFID technology is non-copyable, has strong anti-interference, fast identification, and intelligent identification. It provides these industries with an intelligent and information management solution, realizing a new type of weighing intelligent management mode that is efficient, accurate, fast, and anti-cheating. RFID technology makes unattended weighing management intelligent.

To realize the automatic identification and information management of vehicles by RFID, improve the traffic efficiency and safety of vehicles, and count the vehicle entry and exit data, so as to facilitate the management personnel to dispatch, reduce the labor intensity of management personnel, and effectively prevent charging loopholes. The intelligent weighing management system is to use the long-distance RFID technology on the original weighing management system to realize the automatic identification function of weighing vehicles, and merge the automatically collected weighing vehicle information into the weighing management system. The intelligent weighing management system can increase the speed of vehicles passing through the metering office by 3-4 times, and effectively prevent the economic losses caused by human fraud to the enterprise through automatic identification and accurate measurement of vehicle numbers. After the implementation of the system, the labor intensity of the staff and the error rate of manual weighing were greatly reduced, the transparency of the management process was improved, and the informatization process of the enterprise was promoted.

A complete RFID management system consists of three parts: a reader (Reader), an electronic tag (TAG) and an application software system. Its working principle is that the Reader transmits a radio wave energy of a specific frequency to the Tag to drive the Tag circuit to send out the internal data. At this time, the Reader receives and interprets the data in sequence and sends it to the application for corresponding processing.

There are roughly two categories of products derived from RFID technology: passive RFID products and active RFID products.

1. Passive RFID products

Passive RFID products are the earliest, most mature and most widely used products in the market. For example, bus cards, canteen meal cards, hotel access cards, second-generation ID Cards, parking cards, etc., which can be seen everywhere in our daily lives. The main operating frequencies of its products are low frequency 125KHZ, high frequency 13.56MHZ, and ultra-high frequency 915MHZ.

The low frequency 125KHZ, commonly known as the frequency band of ID cards, generally requires a reading distance of 5-8CM. This frequency band has a wide range of applications, such as canteen meal cards, membership cards, Access Control cards, etc. Due to its low cost and simple application, it is very popular in some application system software involving RFID. In addition, low-frequency 134Khz injection tags are also very common in animal management applications such as cats and dogs.

The high frequency 13.56MHZ, commonly known as the frequency band of IC cards, generally requires a reading distance of 5-8CM. The second-generation ID card currently used in our country uses the 13.56Mhz frequency band, and the protocol is 14443B. This frequency band is particularly widely used in bus cards and Library borrowing cards.

Ultra-high frequency 915MHZ, this frequency band is more generally 860-960Mhz in RFID. The frequency bands used by several major countries and regions are different, such as the American standard is 902-928Mhz, the European standard is 860-868Mhz, and our country uses 920-925Mhz. At present, the American standard is mainly used in applications, with a central frequency of 915Mhz, so it is collectively referred to as 915. This frequency band is divided into two main protocols, ISO 18000-6B and 6C, of which 6B is the old protocol and 6C is the new protocol. The reading distance is generally 0-30 meters, depending on the power of the read/write module, antenna gain, and tag size. UHF 915M has the following advantages: long contactless reading distance (0-30M), multi-tag anti-collision reading, fast recognition speed, ability to identify high-speed moving objects, long life, intelligent control, high reliability, etc., and is now more and more widely used in IoT applications

2. Active RFID products

Active RFID products have been gradually developed in recent years. They have important applications in the field of long-distance automatic identification, such as smart prisons, home-school communication, etc. Active RFID has emerged in this field and belongs to the category of long-distance automatic identification. The main operating frequencies of the products are UHF 433MHZ, microwave 2.45GHZ and 5.8GMHZ.

At present, the RFID used in our unattended weighing system is passive RFID products, and the operating frequency is UHF 900-960MHZ. With the contactless induction card swiping technology, unattended operation can be achieved. When the car stops on the scale, the weighing software automatically collects vehicle information through RFID equipment. After the weighing software determines that the weighing data is stable, it captures photos and saves the gross weight or tare weight at the same time. A camera can be used to capture photos of the driver swiping the card, and then print the document, release the vehicle, and then start the next car. When a certain car comes for tare weighing for the second time, the software automatically calls up the collected vehicle information. After the software determines that the vehicle is stable, it starts to capture tare photos and save the weight at the same time, and then combines it with the data of the first gross weight into a record, calculates the net weight, and then prints the document. In this way, the gross weight, tare weight, net weight data of the vehicle and the photos when the gross weight and tare weight are saved in the computer, as well as the driver's card number, and the card number corresponds to the vehicle number. Therefore, the RFID unattended weighing system is widely used in power plants, coal mines, non-ferrous metal mines, garbage dumps, freight stations and other units.
