The full life cycle management of oilfield materials requires a strong information system to support it. RFID asset management system functions:

1. Obtain various types of information on oilfield assets by scanning tags with handheld devices. Because RFID handheld devices can read many tags instantly, there is no need to scan individually when reading material information, and materials can be quickly put into and out of the warehouse in batches.

2. The information written into the tag can be encrypted and permission management can be performed. People without corresponding permissions and readers without corresponding decryption equipment cannot read the information in the tag, so as to prevent the theft of material information.

3. Before the materials are put into storage, the storage location of the materials is recorded in the RFID tag, and the information of the storage location of the goods is also recorded in the tag, which can easily complete the active shelving, quick positioning and search of materials, so that the warehouse management can be mechanically automated, informationized and precise.

4. The system automatically counts the inventory and automatically generates in-and-out reports based on the number of materials in and out of the warehouse read by the antenna at the entrance and exit. While reading the data, the information of the materials can be automatically calculated, thereby completing the active inventory function of the materials, and uploading the in-and-out and inventory information to the superior authorities in real time.

5. When counting and distributing oilfield materials, handheld devices can be used to directly scan and read the material information. Information can be read in batches without unpacking, with high accuracy, and less physical objects for manual operation, saving manpower and material resources.
