RFID Express Logistics Packaging Warehousing Management and Tracking Solutions

RFID technology has been widely used in express logistics, packaging and warehouse management. By adding RFID tags to each item such as goods, pallets, turnover boxes, and pallet boxes, they are given unique identification codes and managed and tracked at various warehouse business nodes through RFID Readers. RFID technology has the characteristics of long-distance rapid identification. At the same time, the uniqueness of RFID tags can establish serial number management, which plays a role in anti-counterfeiting and traceability.

A typical solution is to combine Smart WMS (intelligent warehouse management system) with RFID technology and apply it to the storage and traceability management of pallet boxes. This solution has been applied in many industries, including pallet boxes, packaging boxes, turnover boxes, etc.

Market demand analysis

This type of customer mainly focuses on warehouse business management and traceability management. Customers may have multiple warehouses, including main warehouses and virtual warehouses. Virtual warehouses can be managed by customers themselves or by other institutions. Customers need to use RFID technology to record the flow information of items in various business processes and warehouses, and generate corresponding statistical analysis reports. The main requirements include:

1. RFID-based warehousing business management, combined with the warehousing and outbound processes, seamlessly connected with the existing warehousing business.

2. Multi-warehouse management, including main warehouses and virtual warehouses (also known as customer warehouses), which play an important role in the circulation of goods.

3. Management of inner and outer packaging of items such as pallet boxes and packaging boxes.

4. Connect with the ERP system to achieve data interoperability, including data interaction with the ERP system in the box management business.

5. Statistics on the loss and loss of items during the circulation process, and record the entire life cycle.

Solution

Warehousing business management

Warehousing business management involves two main modules of commodity logistics tracking and warehouse management system: hardware settings and system functions.

The hardware setting module includes three small modules: serial port selection, baud rate setting, and reader power setting. The serial port selection module is used to select the serial port for communication with the reader, the baud rate setting module is used to set the data transmission rate of the serial port, and the reader power setting module is used to adjust the working power of the reader.

The system functional modules include six small modules: commodity identification, logistics tracking, commodity warehousing, commodity inventory, commodity outbound and sales record. The commodity identification module is used to enter RFID information in advance and bind it with packaging materials; the logistics tracking module is used to track the logistics information of commodities, including the inbound and outbound records and current location information of the goods; the commodity warehousing module is used to record the warehousing operation of commodities, including scanning RFID tags, updating inventory information, etc.; the commodity inventory module is used to inventory the commodities in the warehouse and compare the actual inventory with the inventory information recorded in the system; the commodity outbound module is used to record the outbound operation of commodities, including scanning RFID tags, updating inventory information, etc.; the sales record module is used to record the sales of commodities, including sales quantity, sales time and other information.

In the system, the RFID information of commodities can be entered in advance and bound to packaging materials. For example, goods A and goods B are combined into a combined commodity C, and a barcode is defined for the combined commodity C. The combined commodity C can set a default quantity to indicate the number of goods it can accommodate. By binding the RFID information in the system with the packaging materials (outer packaging), the management and tracking of the combined goods can be achieved.

RFID technology application process

RFID Card issuance management

You can use a desktop RFID card Reader to issue cards, initialize RFID tags, and bind them through RFID handheld terminal devices in business.

RFID tag pasting

Determine the number of RFID tags to be pasted according to actual needs. In order to facilitate reading and improve efficiency, RFID tags can be pasted on different surfaces. In business, you can determine to bind 1-4 RFID tags according to different scenarios.

RFID reading and writing

In various warehousing businesses, mobile RFID handheld terminals can be used for data collection, including on-site businesses such as receiving, picking, and reviewing. These handheld devices are based on Android development applications and have great scalability. They can be easily applied to various business scenarios.

RFID power setting

In mobile applications, the detection and induction intensity (ranging from 5db to 30db) of the handheld device for RFID can be associated with different operation modes (such as warehousing, shelving, picking, de-shelfing, outbound inventory and other management functions), and manual modification is supported.

Virtual warehouse (customer warehouse) circulation management

Virtual warehouse (customer warehouse) circulation management is a logistics tracking and warehousing management system implemented by RFID technology. The system combines C# programming language, RFID radio frequency technology and database. It reads the information of in-and-out items through UHF RFID readers and writes them into the database. Users can quickly and in real time understand the in-and-out situation of the purchased goods.

The logistics tracking warehousing management system mainly consists of the following components: RFID electronic tags, UHF RFID readers and writers, data management system and host computer. The UHF RFID reader and writer and antenna are installed on the warehouse door, which are mainly responsible for scanning and reading the RFID tags on the goods and feeding the information back to the management system. When a large number of electronic tags enter the reading range of the reader at the same time, the reader can read the information of multiple tags at the same time, so as to realize the rapid recording of the in-and-out of the goods. Whenever the goods arrive at a logistics forwarding center, the system will record the address information. When the goods arrive at the next forwarding center, the forwarding center and the path of the goods can be queried, so as to understand the whole process of logistics more intuitively.

Inbound process

1. Establish an inbound plan: Create an inbound plan based on the outbound documents of the main warehouse or the previous warehouse according to the needs.

2. Receiving task: Use the RFID handheld terminal to receive goods through the PC or on-site operation, scan the RFID tag on the outer packaging to obtain the goods information, and manually enter the information of other goods (such as lining materials).

3. Shelf management: Use the RFID handheld device to scan the RFID tag of the goods to identify the goods information. If it is the starting warehouse, perform the shelving task; if it is a virtual warehouse in transit, the default is to receive and put on the shelf.

Outbound process

1. Establish an outbound plan: Select combined goods for outbound according to the needs. For combined goods, goods A and B will be automatically separated when picking.

2. Picking: Picking operations are performed according to the RFID tag on the outer packaging, and the RFID handheld terminal is used to scan the RFID tag of the goods, and the lining part is manually picked.

3. Review: Review the RFID tag on the outer packaging, scan the RFID tag of the goods with an RFID handheld terminal, and manually review the lining.

4. After the outbound delivery is completed, generate the next warehouse entry order.

Loss analysis

1. Traceability management: Record the flow information of goods through RFID, and generate corresponding statistical reports, record and analyze the loss in real time, and provide a basis for managers' business decisions. You can check which warehouse has the highest loss rate of goods, and check the loss of RFID goods.

2. RFID application report: Use the report to count the information of each node, and use RFID records to check the flow of goods, warehouses and status, etc., and provide rich log query functions.

RFID technology has a wide range of application value in logistics tracking and warehouse management systems. Over time, RFID technology is expected to replace barcode scanning technology and integrate more deeply into our lives. This system is suitable for companies and logistics shipping companies that need to Store a large amount of goods.
