New Delhi Municipal Corporation in India is inviting tenders for RFID parking management

In order to simplify the method of paying parking fees, the Municipal Corporation of New Delhi (MCD) has invited tenders for RFID technology-based parking management in 22 parking lots. Officials said the decision was taken after its successful implementation at a parking lot in Sector 14 of Dwarka. “We have prepared a proposal to set up a parking system based on RFID technology and after getting the approval, we started the bidding process. It will be a cashless, paperless transaction system and will help reduce the number of parked vehicles. time," an official said.

Currently, the 22 locations identified can be divided into 2 clusters, the first cluster has a capacity of 1,507 four-wheelers and 1,060 two-wheelers and the second cluster has a capacity of 1,792 four-wheelers and 427 two-wheelers . Most of these locations have a single entrance and exit in place and are gated. "The amount will be deducted upon exiting the parking lot and credited to the concessionaire's account," an official said.

It is understood that the parking management system based on RFID technology has the following steps:

1. Paste the RFID electronic tag that has been registered and issued on the car windshield.

2. Install an ultra-high frequency integrated reader/writer at the entrance and exit of the parking lot. The ultra-high frequency reader can identify the RFID electronic tag in the car from a long distance and send the RFID tag information to the back-end system.

3. The RFID system compares and judges the RFID electronic tag information, and implements charging and other processing based on the judgment results.

The system was launched after users complained about parking delays and excessive charges. The use of RFID-based parking lot management can improve the traffic efficiency and management level of the parking lot, reduce the need and cost of manual intervention, and improve the automation of the system. and security.

Today, the continuous penetration of RFID technology in various fields in India not only proves its own advantages, but also illustrates that the cost of RFID solutions has become acceptable for most developing countries.

Foot Locker expands RFID technology to nearly 650 European Stores

Recently, multi-brand Sports fashion and apparel retailer Foot Locker has successfully expanded RFID applications to its new Eastern European stores. The goal is to provide customers with the best omnichannel shopping experience and the highest level of inventory accuracy while increasing in-store efficiency. The project now covers more than 650 stores in Europe.

Its RFID application allows stores to increase their in-store inventory accuracy to over 98% by improving the way employees track and manage inventory. This accuracy enables Foot Locker to provide customers with the best omni-channel shopping experience and explore new RFID applications such as supply chain and more. In addition, RFID technology can also help Foot Locker implement brand regulations.

“The brands we work with are very strict about how they display their merchandise,” said Niek Philipsen, Foot Locker’s director of innovation. "In the case of exclusive, limited-edition footwear items, time is of the essence. The RFID system tells our store teams exactly which items should be displayed when. In this way, we ensure an authentic brand experience for our customers at Foot Locker's shopping moments bring joy."

Since 2018, Foot Locker has simplified inventory management with RFID technology. By using RFID electronically tagged merchandise from brands like Nike, Adidas and Puma, Foot Locker gains long-term inventory accuracy, increasing inventory availability and reducing out-of-stock situations.

Bastille perfume company has also joined the RFID camp

It is reported that Bastille perfume company launched its latest plan to improve product transparency last month. It plans to use RFID technology to improve the transparency of the supply chain and combine it with QR code technology to share product-related information directly with consumers.

RFID technology can ensure the quality of cosmetics

The raw materials and manufacturing processes of cosmetics are often very complex, so comprehensive monitoring of the production process is required to ensure product quality and safety. RFID technology can mark each cosmetic product with RFID tags to track the quality and safety of the cosmetics. Unqualified cosmetics can be eliminated in a timely manner, thereby ensuring the safety and quality of the products purchased by consumers, and improving the quality of the products purchased by consumers. of trust.

RFID technology can improve management efficiency

The cosmetics industry has very high requirements for supply chain management, especially for product tracking and monitoring, and RFID technology can quickly and accurately track the location of each product in the manufacturing process, including the source and usage of raw materials, and every step of the manufacturing process. , customized production, quality control, etc. This can effectively reduce errors and delays, improve production capacity and quality, and improve management efficiency to a certain extent.

RFID technology protects intellectual property

In the cosmetics industry, intellectual property rights are vital Assets because each brand of cosmetics has its own unique formula and manufacturing process. RFID technology can build this information into RFID electronic tags to ensure that each cosmetic batch can be traced and intellectual property rights protected. In this way, companies can ensure that only authorized users know about manufacturing processes and information, thus preventing knowledge from being stolen and illegally copied.

RFID technology enables efficient inventory management

The shelf life of cosmetics is relatively short, and supply needs to be replenished in time. RFID tags can be used to track the inventory of cosmetics, thereby effectively controlling the inventory status, replenishing supply in a timely manner, and ensuring sufficient inventory, thus shortening the replenishment cycle and improving operational efficiency.
