Industrial high-frequency RFID ensures high-precision production of lithium battery winding machines

A lithium battery winding machine is used to wind lithium battery cells. It assembles the positive and negative electrode sheets, along with the separator, into a core package using a continuous rotational motion. The winding machine has positive and negative electrode feed units, and the part that winds the positive and negative separators together is called a winding needle.


Application Solution

Before loading the winding material, an RFID tag is installed on the sheet tray to identify the sheet. An ultra-high frequency CK-UR08 series reader is used to identify the sheet and transmit the sheet's identity information to the host computer. 1. If the host computer identifies the sheet information as meeting production requirements, the machine starts production. 2. If the host computer identifies the sheet information as not meeting production requirements, the machine stops and issues an alarm. 3. Sheet usage information is synchronized to the MES system in real time, facilitating material control and reducing rework and costly errors caused by incorrect materials. Real-time monitoring facilitates material control and resolves the problem of incorrect sheet identification, which often leads to costly misuse and customer complaints. For traceability of finished reels, RFID tags are installed on the winding pallets. The FR03 series is used to write information and enable identification. During unloading, the pallet tags are written with grade information and enabled with identification. Loading, the RFID tags are then identified. This ensures accurate material loading and provides transparency and intelligence throughout the entire process of grade loading and unloading. This reduces costs and customer complaints caused by incorrect material and solves the problem of not knowing material information after unloading and unloading, as well as the inability to control material information and usage.
