In the production of automotive cable harnesses, the plastic components must harden for a period of time before they can be fed by employees to subsequent production steps. To ensure that the prescribed cooling times are followed, WE offers an easy-to-install on-site solution. By interacting with RFID Readers and compact interfaces, the tower lights provide information on the respective process status without the need for a corresponding controller at a higher level.
Your benefits
•Easily retrofit control systems
•Provide on-site information on the corresponding process status
•Status displays and RFID tracking ensure quality of production components
1
Using the on-site system, employees have an overview of the entire cooling process
2
The RFID read-write head reads the information of the tag and triggers the timer in the interface
Set local timer using AGREE
Each cooling station has 1 TBEN-S2 RFID interface. With the logic software AGREE, each compact module functions as a Field Logic Controller (FLC). This means: In TBEN-S2, users can easily configure timers to be triggered by newly arrived cable strips.
Read/write head detects RFID tags in production batches
RFID can be used to exchange information between production batches and FLC modules. For this purpose, the Q80L400 HF read/write head reads the RFID tag fixed on the cable rack. Thanks to its oblong design, the reader reliably detects the tag, regardless of the position of the rollable strip in the cooling station.
When an identification number is detected, the TBEN-S2 starts a timer and activates the signal light. Distributed management of this task frees up the central controller.
Using unique IDs on RFID, higher-level systems can track batches that completed the intended process as well as parts that were removed from Library-borrowing-machine-touch-query-intelligent-terminal-all-in-one-machine.html target='_blank'>workstations prematurely.
Multi-color LED display indicates the progress of the process
Employees can identify the cooling process in progress by means of the yellow TL50 tower light. If the cable board is pulled out in advance from the waiting area below the RFID reader, the signal light turns red; the green indicator light indicates that the process is completed.
Using the distributed logic of the RFID interface, manufacturers can set up systems that provide status indication in the immediate work area. RFID solutions can also take into account supplier-specific quality requirements, allowing them to locate production batches and record process events in higher-level systems.
