Changchun Airport RFID smart warehouse put into use

Inspired by this, the Changchun Airport Equipment Support Department conducted innovative experiments on the warehouse management model and established a warehouse management model based on RFID technology. Intelligent warehouses strive to improve warehouse management efficiency, thereby achieving the management goals of reasonably optimizing inventory and improving fund utilization.


The warehouse management platform has excellent functions, but the new creation and entry process are relatively cumbersome. The staff put in a lot of work and concentrated on shelf planning, catalog classification, label binding and information collection for more than two months. After installation and debugging, a total of RFID tags were installed. More than ten kinds and more than 2,600 items, the first phase of Changchun Airport smart warehouse construction has recently been completed. In this phase of construction, a warehouse RFID Asset MANAGEMENT system platform was built, a warehouse spare parts management system and standards were established, the management automation process was upgraded, and the expected functions and features were realized:


First, the management platform uses the IoT sensing concept, adopts a B/S architecture, and uses RFID technology to automatically search for tags and RFID supporting equipment. The platform covers purchase requisition management, warehouse management, fixed asset management, Tool management, and operation and maintenance. Management, statistical analysis and other functions can comprehensively grasp all dimensional information of various assets and realize the automation, informatization and digitization of warehouse management.


Second, the original manual management model did not have an electronic information database, and it was impossible to query the basic information and usage status of spare parts and tools. The inventory status was not fully understood, which easily resulted in subjective and arbitrary procurement, resulting in repeated purchases of individual spare parts that would remain idle for a long time and remain in inventory. Problems such as insufficient parts that cannot be replenished in time and spare parts that have expired have been used. This transformation restructures the warehouse management workflow at the management system level, combing and optimizing everything from purchase requisition, arrival acceptance, warehousing, outgoing warehouse, inventory, scrapping, and data statistics to truly realize the full life cycle management of spare parts.


Third, the original warehouse management had problems such as heavy workload, low efficiency, lack of accurate real-time data, and poor predictability in purchasing replacement parts. Through intelligent means, spare parts can be shipped in and out of the warehouse in batches without errors, and the inventory time can be shortened from the original 4 hours to 5 minutes. At the same time, the spare parts asset system management is realized, which can be quickly queried and counted, providing a basis for rational allocation of resources, decision-making on procurement and maintenance, greatly improving work efficiency, and improving the quality of equipment maintenance work.


Fourth, during actual operations, handheld scanners and RFID trays are used to automatically and quickly collect and classify labeled spare parts during the arrival acceptance, warehousing, outgoing, and inventory counting. RFID Readers are installed at the entrance and exit of the warehouse, so that items entering and exiting the warehouse can have the functions of recording, inspection, alarming and generating outgoing orders. At the same time, it has functions such as reserve quota management and automatic inventory warning, allowing the collection of full-dimensional information in the entire life cycle of each spare part from procurement to scrapping, accurate tracking of the entire process, and all-round management sharing, enabling procurement and near- scrapping period analysis and resource allocation. , prediction and early warning, optimization control and other auxiliary decision-making.


Integrating technology to improve warehouse management efficiency, innovative management to support the construction of a "four-type airport", and smart warehouse construction have brought Changchun Airport's smart management, refined management, and process management to a new level.
