Application of RFID technology in automobile assembly workshop

Generally speaking, the assembly shop is the last link of automobile production. In the final assembly shop, the various parts and components of the car will be assembled together to form a complete car. In the final assembly shop, final adjustments, inspections and tests are also carried out to ensure that the performance and quality of the car are up to standard. Therefore, the assembly shop is the last link of automobile production, and it is also one of the most important links.

RFID is widely used in assembly workshops. Here are a few common applications:

Production management: RFID can be used for production planning and management of the production process, which helps to improve production efficiency, and at the same time helps managers keep abreast of production status and adjust production plans.

[Case] RFID assists the car body in the assembly workshop

The painted empty bodies go into the PBS (painted body) storage area. The PBS storage area is generally fed separately according to the model specifications (high/medium/low working hours). The system first confirms the sequence number and specifications of the empty body from the painting through RFID, and then according to the sequence plan of the assembly workshop, the management and control system determines the line-in sequence of the empty body in the PBS storage area. The system automatically calculates the lanes that the current vehicle should choose, uses the TCP/IP communication protocol to connect with the PLC in the PBS storage area, controls the incoming line of the car body, and realizes the functions of automatic batch grouping of empty bodies in the PBS storage area, and improves the storage area. The production efficiency of the subsequent process section.

logistics management: RFID tags can be attached to parts and components to facilitate tracking and management during the logistics process.

[Case] RFID helps suppliers of surrounding large goods to supply synchronously

For large items such as seats, tires, decorative panels, and large chassis, the OEM generally instructs the surrounding large item suppliers to deliver simultaneously through the system's delivery instruction sheet according to the loading capacity of the logistics distribution vehicle. JIS synchronization suppliers generally set up factories around the vehicle factory, and the body is painted in the paint shop and enters the PBS area. At the control point of the PBS exit area, the body information is read through the RFID Card reader, and an order is placed with the bulk supplier for each accumulated certain number of car bodies, and the supplier is instructed to complete the delivery according to the sorting requirements and the specified time.

Process control: RFID can be used to manage the assembly process. On the assembly floor, RFID Readers can automatically identify parts and assemblies and confirm that they meet specifications. If requirements are not met, the system will automatically send out an alert to remind workers to make corrections.

Quality control: RFID can be used to track the quality information of parts and assemblies. In the final assembly workshop, RFID readers can automatically record the quality information of each component and component, including test results and test time. This information can be traced to ensure that the quality of the car is up to standard.

In general, the work of the entire assembly shop is very complex and meticulous, requiring a high degree of technology and experience, and strict compliance with quality and safety standards. The application of RFID in the assembly workshop can greatly improve production efficiency, reduce costs and improve vehicle quality.
