RFID technology in engine assembly line

1. Application of RFID system in engine assembly line

(1) Electronic label initialization

①The worker enters the engine model and output information to be produced in the 0-station PC;

②The reader writes the ID number information of the electronic tag to complete the initialization of the electronic tag;

③ The electronic label with the ID information written on it goes online together with the engine tray.

(2) Read and write electronic tag information

①The engine to be assembled is transported to the vicinity of the assembly station, the limit switch automatically jams the tray, and the reader obtains the data information and transmits it to the MES;

②According to the content of each electronic label, the station PC displays the name and model of the parts that should be installed in the station, and cooperates with the manipulator or worker to operate correctly;

③ After completing the assignment, feedback the completed assignment information to MES;

④ After the reader writes the station information in the electronic label, the limit switch is turned on, and the tray is delivered to the next station. Depending on the processing information Stored in the tag, the engine will be delivered to subsequent stations.

(3) Extract electronic label information

①If the engine fails to pass the inspection, it will automatically enter the repair area. The reader will extract the written information, compare it with the relevant information stored in the MES, and display the cause of the failure on the PC of the repair station, and the relevant station solutions, etc.;

② Enter the repair procedure, the repair is completed, and the maintenance information is written into the label.

(4) Clear the electronic label information

① The reader reads the information in the tag and stores it in the database;

② The electronic label information is cleared to facilitate recycling.

2. The advantages of RFID technology application to intervene in the engine assembly line

    Before the application of RFID technology, barcode technology was mainly used on the assembly line, and product information was stored in the database, which required high network communication speed and reliability, and required a high-performance and large-capacity database:

1. During the transfer process, the information of each link is manually input, which is prone to errors, so that the work cannot be connected normally, and the production process and takt time are affected.

2. If a product defect is found, due to incomplete probability data, it is impossible to find the relevant work station responsible for the product defect.

3. Equipment error-proofing and parts error-proofing are highly dependent on people, and the error-proofing efficiency is low. After the application of RFID technology, the above problems will be solved easily. It can dynamically store the information of the operation content of each station and ensure the information between stations. The connection, the information transmission is accurate, fast, and clear at a glance; through the combination with the application software, the upper-layer network can monitor the actual situation of the site and the traceability of the engine logistics; more importantly, the data in the production process is stored. In the label, the cost of network installation can be reduced, and the unsealed location and part do not even need terminal extension, and the production process data can also be preserved in the event of a disaster in the information system.
