CH340 module driver installation：

1. Insert the CH340 module into the USB port of the computer, open the CH340 module driver File, and double-click the EXE application. Click to download the official website driver. Different chip solutions have different drivers. Please check the serial chip model in your hand before use.

2. Click Install

3. If the driver installation is successful, it means that the driver has been installed. If the pre-installation is successful, it can be regarded as the installation failure. If the installation fails directly, check whether the module is plugged in properly.

4. Verify whether the driver is normal. Although the installation is successful, it is recommended to verify whether the driver is running normally. Enter the device manager port to check. Right-click the icon in the lower left corner and click Device Manager. Then check whether there is a CH340 driver on the port. If there is no exclamation mark, it means that the installation is successful and the driver is running normally (the COM port number in brackets changes according to the actual situation, it does not matter if it is different). If you want to change the serial port number, double-click it, and the port setting interface will pop up for setting.

Test:

To test the CH340 module, first short-circuit the two pins of TX and RX of the module, insert it into the USB port of the computer, open the serial debugging Tool, and follow the steps in the picture. If it can receive and send data by itself, it means that this USB to TTL module is good.

Precautions:

1. When the CH340 module is plugged into the USB2.0 port, the current of the 5V pin header output port is only about 500MA. If the large power module to be connected is connected, it is recommended to connect the USB3.0 or connect the high-power module with a separate external power supply and a common ground.

2. Do not short-circuit VCC and GND, otherwise the module will be burnt. If you find that the module light does not light up after plugging it in or the module is seriously hot, please unplug it immediately to check whether the connection is reversed or short-circuited.
